Presented as a Week-Long Program for the Long Island Photo Workshops – a PPA Affiliate School
5th – 9th August 2012 at the Sheraton Hotel, Smithtown, Long Island NY
by Martin Grahame-Dunn – FMPA,FRSA,Hon.FMPA,QEP,Hon.M.DFF etc
The aim of this program is to help you face every problem that may come your way as a Wedding Photographer. From the ‘Big Three’ of Lighting, Posing and Great Composition to using whatever you have at your disposal to create images that will wow your clients and result in much needed sales for your wedding photography.
- Lighting – we will look at the best use of natural light by identifying opportunities in almost any scenario. Supplementary lighting in the form of Flash and Video lights, right down to plain old making do with whatever you can find!
- Posing – you will learn how to encourage people to do it ‘their way’ by observing natural behaviour and refining rather than interfering and over posing your subjects.
- Composition – how to make the very best use of whatever format you chose to capture in. From using your mind to previzulise an image, best use of 3:2 proportion using FOCUS, CROP, RE-COMPOSE to post capture decision making, where the frame has given you multiple opportunities.
You will open your minds to a wealth of possibilities and encourage you to be creative, reactive and responsive to the needs of your demanding clients. Finally, we will spend a little time in the world of simple creative processing in Photoshop with Nik Software and a touch of onOne too!
This Photography Training Workshop is aimed at any Professional, no matter how long they have been in the business to encourage them to take a fresh look at their work and come up with something just a little bit different to survive and prosper in this difficult economy.
